Venom® releases the all the Venom BlackBook® Zero 14

The Best Ultraportable Clamshell Notebook Computer.

Melbourne, Australia – 20 February 2017 – Venom today introduces to the world the best ever Venom BlackBook Zero.

“In the pursuit to forever be thinner and lighter, we question how the end user benefits, to design a product to make such claims, would mean to make compromises, we simply wanted to make the best ultraportable and this is our attempt at this” said Jaan Turon

Designed and built to Get it Done. All Day Long.

The award winning BlackBook Zero 13 has been followed up with an all new thin and light UltraBook that has the same volume area, yet it is thinner, with more features and a larger screen. The Venom BlackBook Zero 14.

“A new approach to a product category that is struggling to find meaning, the technology is now here where we can make an Ultraportable that does not have to have key aspects missing, the day where we had to choose between performance and efficiency in a productivity based machine are over.” said Jaan Turon.

The 2 in 1 versus the traditional clamshell design has polarized users, at Venom we continue to design and make purpose built machines, this is the best Clamshell Ultraportable yet, designed without compromise to get it done all day long. “The traditional approach was to shrink larger designs into smaller builds. We found this design approach was limiting as it was like trying to fit a bus into a sports car” said Jaan Turon. The BlackBook Zero 14 has been designed from small to large. The all new 7th Gen Intel Kaby Lake processor has allowed for a new approach. Fanless architecture has enabled a thinner non compromising silent design, inspired by high power cell phones which have extremely effective cooling systems that allow for a small device to be used even in a confined area such as a pocket. Venom built this design from a silent passive cooling concept to make a full sized portable computer that was both silent and thermally efficient.

Thin, light fully functional without compromise.

Innovative design encompasses all aspects of a products lifecycle, from its early use to how it is to continue being relevant. Ensuring that the BlackBook had ports to support legacy devices is not only good for the planet, it also ensures that people get to use their existing devices. At just 1.4kgs (3.08lbs) with the latest Intel 7th generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processor, enormous improvements in graphics performance with 4K support being up to 30% faster than 6th Gen graphics and 70% more speed than 5th Gen graphics. Ultra-low power LPDDR3 RAM, fanless silent architecture has been realized. The SSD drive is easily replaceable and upgradeable and the battery is serviceable, this further extends the BlackBook Zero 14’s serviceable lifecycle.

At Venom we have been constantly hearing that the PC market is dead, we disagree. We continue to know it is not.

Impressive array of key features.

A holistic approach to a system requires that each sub component adds to the whole in a purposeful and meaningful way. The Zero 14 has the latest powerful low voltage processors and graphics, with fast SSDs, high speed lower power consuming memory, an advanced thermally efficient & silent fanless design, with dual external (up to 4K) monitor support, multiple full sized USB ports, type C USB port, 3.5mm head phone jack, separate power jack, mini HDMI and Micro SD slot as well as configurable performance vs portability settings to get from 8-18 hours battery life. All in a slim 14mm (.55”) chassis that supports a backlit keyboard with responsive deep key travel heights. The impressive 14.1” IPS panel has the perfect viewing angles with no reflection and is designed to provide optimum color contrasts for long viewing hours. As with every BlackBook, the Zero 14 also comes with an external USB recovery drive (10 minute recovery) and a full version of internet security software and now the Zero 14 also comes with 2 X power adaptors, one for home and the other away.
